Magzhan Kenesbai

Acting Managing Director, AIQ

Magzhan Kenesbai is Acting Managing Director and a Board Member of AIQ with an extensive experience in managing and deploying capital, asset management, and private equity across emerging markets. He specializes in driving growth, enhancing market share, and increasing shareholder value across companies and funds in emerging markets. Prior to joining AIQ, Magzhan was Senior Director and Chief of Staff at Presight, where he focused on strategic investments, strategy, and business development in Central Asia. Magzhan is a board member of the Samruk Kazyna - Presight Joint Venture, which aims to accelerate digital transformation in partnership with Samruk-Kazyna JSC, a US$70 billion sovereign wealth fund. As an investment professional, Magzhan has held several high-level positions throughout his career. He served as Chairman of the Board and a board member at leading asset management companies in Central Asia. In these roles, he was instrumental in driving growth, managing portfolios, and overseeing mergers and acquisitions. As Vice-President at Verno Pe Research LLP, Magzhan played a pivotal role in deploying investments in Central Asian infrastructure projects, collaborating with sovereign funds from the Middle East and Kazakhstan. His earlier career includes strategic positions in private oil and gas companies and investment offices, as well as leadership at Tsesna Astyk, a leading agriculture company. Magzhan holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Babson College in Massachusetts, USA.

Mohamed Al Mehairi

CFO

Mohamed Al Mehairi is the Chief Financial Officer at AIQ. He brings forward a wealth of experience in his field, resulting in his crucial contribution to the growth of the company since he joined in 2021. Mohamed has been a part of ADNOC since 2002 when he first joined Abu Dhabi Oil Refining Company. He was responsible for the budgeting, costing and reporting of the business, before moving on to the Shipping Segment at Abu Dhabi National Tanker Company (ADNATCO), all while managing National Gas Shipping Co (NGSCO). Mohamed’s management and leadership skills played an instrumental role in the merger of ADNOC’s three Shipping, Petroleum Services & Ports Operation units, ADNATCO, ESNAAD and IRSHAD, in 2017 to create a single world-class entity. His financial prowess made him an invaluable member of the leadership team for the business, which then became ADNOC Logistics and Services. Throughout his career, Mohamed has been responsible for numerous large teams, which he managed successfully and efficiently. He has also served on the Board Advisory Committee and was on other organizations’ Audit Committee. Mohamed holds a Bachelor’s degree in Finance from Portland State University in Oregon, where he graduated in 2001.

Saravan Kumar Penubarthi

CTO

Saravan Penubarthi is a highly experienced and versatile Chief Technology Officer with expertise driving global digital transformations across various industry verticals. He has a proven track record of delivering innovative technology strategies and solutions and executing cloud initiatives across multiple industries. With a strong background in digital innovation and execution, Saravan is adept at aligning and collaborating with IT and business stakeholders to drive revenue improvements and efficiency enhancements through adopting innovative digital business models. Before joining AIQ, Saravan was the Chief Technology Officer for Microsoft in the APAC region and was responsible for driving the company's cloud initiatives and developing the overall IT digital strategy and execution. He led a diverse team of engineers, architects, and project managers and served as the Chief Technology Advisor for CxOs and the board in the region. He has also previously led digital technology partnerships and was responsible for driving digital transformation initiatives across several organizations. Saravan has held several leadership positions throughout his career, including as a cloud consulting team leader for DXC (erstwhile CSC), global consulting services lead for Asia Pacific and Japan for Software AG Singapore, and enterprise integration practice lead for HCL Technologies in India. Saravan earned his Bachelor of Technology in Computer Science from Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University in Hyderabad, India.

Magdalena Konig

General Counsel

Magdalena Konig is a key member of AIQ’s executive leadership team, responsible for the company’s legal affairs and oversight of the Legal, Governance and Compliance department. As part of her role, she provides advisory to the company’s CEO, management team, Board and shareholders on matters such as business structure and operations. Magdalena oversees all governance procedures at AIQ, and ensures everyone at the company is aware of their legal, compliance and regulatory requirements. Magdalena was a critical member of the team that brought AIQ, the joint venture between ADNOC and G42, into fruition. Prior to AIQ, Magdalena was part of ADNOC’s Legal Governance and Compliance directorate. She was sole IT counsel for ADNOC and its 16 group companies, focusing on digital transformation projects, data protection and security. Magdalena has vast international experience, including over four years as an advisor within the UAE, working with a range of private and public sector clients, with particular experience in the ICT industry. Her specialist knowledge includes the legalities of IT integration and implementation, strategic IT and business process outsourcing, cloud services, data management, licensing and support agreements. She holds a postgraduate degree in law and was admitted to the Law Society of England and Wales in September 2012, after completing her training at Shoosmiths LLP. She qualified into their Commercial, Technology & Outsourcing Team with a specialization in ICT and outsourcing projects.

Mohammed Ali Khan

Senior Vice President – Sales & Customer Success

Mohammed Ali Khan is AIQ’s Senior Vice President – Sales & Customer Success. With over two decades of experience in the Energy sector, Ali has held prominent roles in finance, business development, strategy, and commercial operations with major multinationals across various industries, including 15 years at GE. Prior to joining AIQ, Ali served at Bloom Energy as Executive Director of International Business, where he played a key role in identifying and partnering with major original equipment manufacturers to develop integrated value propositions for carbon capture and hydrogen solutions. Throughout his career, Ali has been successful in delivering contracts ranging in value to up to $2 billion, while also having been focused on development of competitive offerings and risk management, demonstrating his financial acumen and ability to drive top and bottom-line growth. Ali earned his Bachelor’s degree with honors in Accounting and Finance from Liverpool University and is an ACCA Qualified Accountant.
